I’m a huge fan of podcasts and always have my headphones on, whether I’m catching up on the latest trends, diving into a deep-dive marketing discussion, or just unwinding with a fun and light-hearted episode. For me, podcasts are a fantastic way to stay updated while I’m on the go—whether I’m at the gym, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, or even tidying up the house.
Choosing just five marketing podcasts was no easy feat. I have a ton of favorites across various categories, so narrowing it down was quite the challenge. Also, just a heads-up—these are all in English. But if you’d like, I could whip up a list in Portuguese. Spanish might be a bit trickier, but I’m up for the challenge if there’s interest.
Why podcasts?
Before diving into the list, let’s talk about why podcasts are such a powerful tool for marketers. They offer a way to keep your finger on the pulse of the industry, get inspired by thought leaders, and pick up actionable tips that you can apply to your own work. Plus, they fit seamlessly into our busy lives. Whether you’re commuting, exercising, or just need a break from the screen, podcasts allow you to absorb valuable insights without interrupting your day.
Now, without further ado, let’s dive into my top 5 marketing podcasts, listed in ascending order.

Top 1: This Old Marketing, com Joe Pulizzi & Robert Rose
Show description:
Joe Pulizzi and Robert Rose, two of the most respected names in marketing, explore the latest trends in content, media, and marketing. Each episode dives into how businesses can leverage content to attract and retain customers. With their engaging discussions and insightful rants, this podcast is both informative and entertaining—pretty much the perfect combo.
My take:
Every Friday morning, I can’t wait to tune into the latest episode of This Old Marketing while I’m at the gym or later in the afternoon. I absolutely LOVE this show. Not only because Joe Pulizzi and Robert Rose are top authorities in content marketing, but also because it’s so relaxing to listen to this podcast while gaining valuable insights. Despite being an hour-long episode (which I speed through at 2x speed 😬), it feels like I’m sitting at a bar, having a beer with Joe and Robert, casually chatting about marketing. It’s the perfect blend of knowledge and entertainment.
Wrapping up
There’s not much to wrap up here. As I said, it was tough to narrow down my top 5 podcasts (except for the top 1), so there are plenty more that I’d love to include. I also have great recommendations for leadership and self-management podcasts, as well as shows that help you navigate workplace emotions. I can definitely share that list another time.
Side note:
I just realized that all these podcasts are hosted by men. It feels like we’re missing some female marketers leading podcasts, right? Is this a sign that I should start my own show? 🤔
